Cleverness is not always the most direct way to present facts. So let me be direct for once: 1) my newest poem "Routinely" was just acquired by Skuzzbucket online and you can read it here. 2) meanwhile my novel launches on October 17, 2026 and you are invited to the launch party to celebrate its release. Get on the list

6-7pm VIP tickets with open bar and early admission, strolling accordion, and of course Lithuanian Wedding Cake until it runs out. then at 7pm general admission gets you in for the program which is a reading by M M De Voe and some talk back with a UN political analyst and Cold War Specialist, Juozas Kazlas - and Q&A with MM... Then a costume contest followed by a 1985 New Wave dance party! Put on your red shoes! Let's GO!

THE BOY WHO LOVED TREES is my debut novel. Set in Soviet-Occupied Lithuania in 1985, the book follows Artie Avilis on his journey of self-discovery. But like the Lithuanian folk tales that he was raised on, his story is a cautionary tale. Don't be too sad: there are time-traveling haiku to help you fill in the future!

The book is available here. It won an honorable mention in Barbara Kingsolver's Bellwether Prize and it won an Arch & Bruce Brown Foundation grant for gay-positive historical fiction.
