As a writer with two kids also clamoring for her time, De Voe founded the nonprofit group Pen Parentis in 2008. The organization has just been incorporated as Pen Parentis, Ltd by New York State. Its mission remains: to provide resources to authors who are also parents, to keep them on creative track.
