M. M. De Voe’s short story “Dulce Domum” (published Fall 2006 in the fun literary journal The First Line) has been nominated by Blue Cubicle Press LLC for a 2006 Pushcart Prize! From previous experience, this author knows that the Prize Committee notifies the Small Press only in the event of a Prize being awarded, and then the nominating editor calls the author. Prizes are announced in April or May year following the nomination–so please raise a glass in hopes of a happy phone call in early Spring of 2007.

Here is a wonderful quote from David LaBounty’s letter announcing the prize nomination: I wanted to add, M.M., that your story received the most compliments of any this year. Over forty people e-mailed me with praise for “Dulce Domum.” (We may get one or two nice notes a story.) Great job.
