First Prize REDUX
Just got this press release, passing on the great news:
Carol J. Arnold of San Francisco and M.M. De Voe of New York have tied for first prize in the New Millennium Writings Short-short Fiction Award Competition (Summer 2009). De Voe won for "Empty," about a young woman trapped alone in an office filled with malfunctioning digital devices, facing an impossible deadline for delivering the goods as she yearns for the human touch. These two writers will split the $1,000 first prize, and their stories will be published in the 2010-11 print anthology, which comes out in one year, and also at www.NewMillenniumWritings.com.
